August 11th, 2008 Day One

We finally made it to Honduras! Instead of arriving in the capital city of Tegucigalpa, we instead flew in to San Pedro Soula. It was a five hour commute by bus to where we were staying in El Paraiso. The drive through the dirt roads winded through different villages within the mountanou terrain of Honduras.

We arrived at our compound in El Paraiso a littler later than planned. Everyone helped to unload the medicines from the trucks and we met the leader of our trip Pedro. We could immediately tell that Pedro was the type of guy who was 100% give! We settled in by showering (making sure not to drink the water and then going to bed.
